Pink Ribbon Ink Campaign
About Pink Ribbon Ink Campaign
50andMe is passionate about all causes but in particular those that affect women. One of the the causes closest to our hearts is breast cancer. We are therefore proud to announce the first (of many – we hope) campaign in support of our sisters who have fought and overcome breast cancer, the Pink Ribbon Ink Campaign.
The Pink Ribbon Ink Campaign is a competition 50andMe will be running in the early part of 2022. The aim of this competition is to further awareness of breast cancer as well as to give one grand prize cancer survivor and four runners-up a makeover. Prizes to the total of R 35 000-00 will be given away.
We know that for most breast cancer survivors, after the harrowing treatment journey and reconstruction process, the “icing on the cake” is the areola reconstruction. We also know that treating breast cancer and breast reconstruction is extremely costly and often survivors cannot afford this final step in the journey. 50andMe would like to offer one lucky survivor a chance to take this final step in her journey.
